Houston Promoter Suing Chris Brown for Taking $1 Million & Cancelled Show

Chris Brown just released the deluxe version of his latest album, "Breezy," hit the road with Lil Baby for the "One of them Ones" tour last week kicking off in Raleigh, but the Virginia singer has another lawsuit on his hands.

This March, Brown was promoted as the headliner of a "One Night Only" show with Monica and Bryson Tiller in Houston, Texas. Unfortunately for fans, just hours out from the time for doors, the singer shared that he would not be able to perform that night, without citing any specific reason.

Lejuan Bailey, a businesswoman in Houston and Vice President of DML Real Estate Investors and Construction told Click2Houston that Brown took the cash, despite cancelling the show at soundcheck.

Bailey claims the singer acknowledged the wire transfer but has refused to reimburse the funds, despite a cancelled show.

The show was supposed to be a benefit concert for victims of Hurricane Ida and Nicholas in need.

The full press conference is below.

Ashlee With 2 E's 2 Cents:

  • What was in the contract?
  • What was the reason for him randomly cancelling at soundcheck? Though not an excuse, a bevy of other artists have refused to do shows due to equipment not being correct.
