Fans couldn't get enough of NBA YoungBoy after his concert in New Orleans this weekend. Following the show, the rapper required police assistance after being overwhelmed by fans.

Following his sold-out concert at the Smoothie King Center, fans swarmed him as he walked through downtown New Orleans, particularly on Canal and Bourbon Streets. Videos circulating online show the rapper surrounded by a large crowd before New Orleans police officers intervened and escorted him to a waiting vehicle.

The New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) had already deployed over 400 officers for the concert, marking one of the largest security operations for a concert in the city. The increased security was due to intelligence from other cities and federal authorities, indicating potential threats from rivals of YoungBoy's associates. The security measures included walking beats, mounted officers, bicycles, tactical units, drones, and light towers, supported by state, local, and federal partners.

NBA YoungBoy is out on his "Make America Slime Again Tour," supporting his eighth studio album, MASA. The tour will continue through November, concluding in Seattle, Washington. After receiving a presidential pardon and reentering the music scene in full force, the Baton Rouge rapper is performing hits from throughout his career, backed by a high-energy stage production and special guests such as DeeBaby, K3 and EBK Jaaybo.
