Pusha T seemingly fires shots at Drake and Birdman amid his ongoing beef with the Canadian rapper.
On Friday, July 25, Eesean Bolden's Culture Jam released its latest single "Damage Control" featuring Wale and the Clipse spitta. Following Wale's fire verse, Push delivers some braggadocio bars, and fans believe they're aimed at Drizzy and the Cash Money Records co-founder.
”The realest Birdman, I just cock-a-doodle-doo," Push raps. "Doorstep, doorstep, I get it right through/Money talk, money talk, the wrist is light blue/Sugarhill sweet, s**t is feeling type 2/Bruised egos, man, you n****s might sue/New Jack Ninos telling on the crew."
It's been a minute since Push even alluded to Drake on wax. The two top-notch MC's engaged in a years-long beef that came to a head in 2018. After going back and forth on a few notable tracks, the OVO Sound founder called out Push on his "Duppy Freestyle," and Push returned fire with "The Story of Adidon." On that track, the Virginia rapper revealed that Drake secretly welcomed his son, Adonis, with French model Sophie Brussaux.
Their rap battle may have died down since then, but the beef is nowhere near over. Push recently reflected on the drama between them and said he no longer respects Drake enough to address him in his music.
“I don't rate him no more,” Pusha told GQ. “The suing thing is bigger than some rap shit. I just don't rate you. Damn, it's like it just kind of cheapens the art of it once we gotta have real questions about suing and litigation. Like, what? For this?”
"Damage Control" will appear on the upcoming Culture Jam Presents: Legend In My Hood compilation album spearheaded by Anthony Edwards, his brother AnTony a.k.a “bdifferent, ”and AE Five Enterprise. Listen to the full song below.
