One of the men who allegedly murdered rapper G$ Lil Ronnie and his five-year-old daughter has been arrested.
According to a report TMZ published on Thursday, March 6, Forrest Hills Police apprehended Adonis Robinson, 24, in Livingston, Tx. According to Chief David Hernandez, Robinson was tracked down by the FHPD's intelligence division not long after the suspects' identities were revealed earlier this week. The other suspect Jakobe Russell, 21, is still on the run.
"We've identified the two cowards who took the lives of these innocent people," Chief Hernandez said during a press conference earlier this week.
Robinson and Russell allegedly gunned down the Texas rapper and his young child R'Mani while they were at a car wash in Forrest Hills on Monday. The father and daughter were spending time together for her 5th birthday. They reportedly hopped out of a white Kia, ran up to Ronnie's car, and opened fire. In footage that leaked online, the 30-year-old artist was spotted running away from the two men, but they chased and shot at him until he collapsed on the ground.
Authorities arrived on the scene but couldn't save the two victims. The young girl was killed instantly by the gunfire and her father succumbed to his injuries shortly afterward. The two suspects fled the scene before cops got there.
G$ Lil Ronnie got a lot of love and support from fans and the Hip-Hop community once the news broke. Soulja Boy, who worked with Ronnie in the past, took to social media to pay tribute to him.
