Too $hort naturally shed real tears after learning about his brother's death.
The Oakland native posted a pair of videos to his Instagram timeline on Thursday, January 30, which is the day after his older sibling Wayne Shaw was fatally shot in his hometown. In the videos, the rapper, born Todd Shaw, blasted some timeless joints by The Ohio Players as he went for a drive and wiped the tears from his eyes.
"Real tears," he captioned one video. "Aint really replying to a lot of texts or answering calls right now. I can’t."
Wayne Shaw was struck with multiple bullets during an attempted robbery at an alleged marijuana grow house in East Oakland. The incident began early last Wednesday morning after thieves crashed a truck into the building. Shaw, who was inside at the time, walked outside and was hit with gunfire. He was rushed to a local hospital nearby where he passed away several hours later. He was 61.
A slew of celebrities flooded Too $hort's comment section with condolences. E-40, Lil Jon, Fat Joe, Monica, DJ PREMIER, G-Eazy, Daz Dillinger, MC Hammer, IAMSU!, P-Lo and others offered their prayers and well wishes.
