Fans are convinced that Future is firing warning shots at Russell Wilson in his new collaboration with Quavo.
On Friday, July 14, Quavo dropped his new single "Turn Yo Clic Up" featuring Pluto. The Migos rapper serves up some boss-level bars over a hard-hitting beat crafted by Atake & Sluzyyy. Towards the end of the song, Future chimes in with his lengthy verse which begins with a jab that is believed to be aimed at his ex Ciara's husband Russell Wilson.
"Goyard bag, tote the cutter/I got it out the field, f**k Russell," the Freebandz founder raps.
There's no confirmation that Future is referring to the Seattle Seahawks quarterback on the song, but it wouldn't be the first time. Back in 2019, the "Wait For U" rapper called out Wilson during a radio interview.
“He do exactly what she tell him to do," Future said. "He not being a man in that position. You not tellin’ her, ‘Bro, chill out with that on the internet. Don’t even talk to him. I’m your husband! You better not even bring Future’s name up!'”
Meanwhile, "Turn Yo Clic Up" is the fourth new solo record Quavo dropped this year following previous hits like "Greatness" and "Without You." He began teasing it earlier this week in videos of him and Future on social media. The Atlanta native's latest banger is set to appear on his upcoming album Rocket Power, which is dedicated to his late nephew TakeOff. Right before his new single dropped, Quavo also appeared on Anuel AA's new song "Baby" with DJ Luian and Mambo Kingz.
