BET’s dynamic Executive Vice President and Head of Programming Connie Orlando joined The Breakfast Club to discuss what to expect on the upcoming 2019 BET Awards. Writer and producer Keyaira Kelly recently joined The Breakfast Club to discuss the lack of support for black press in the media industry. She noted how recently Halle Berry among most other A-listers are told to bypass black journalists due to not having enough time. Through Keyaira’s years of being a writer and producer, she has learned to recondition herself and speak on the importance of giving our own people the opportunity they need and the light they deserve. She also challenged Charlamagne’s “Black Men Don’t Cheat” movement–deeming that they do, have and will. Topics such as these are discussed on her podcast “Talk To Your Mom Podcast”.
