DJ Akademiks Gets Flamed For Saying 'Tha Carter III' Isn't A Classic

If you weren't a fan of DJ Akademiks before, you probably won't be one now if you've got love for Lil Wayne

The Everyday Struggle co-host and famed troll went on social media over the weekend and said that Lil Wayne's Tha Carter III wasn't a classic, though many people say it is. “Carter 3 ain't no f**king classic. Carter 2 is. The 2 mixtapes he dropped right before Carter 3 were better than Carter 3..,” Akademiks tweeted.

He added, “I can't call Carter 3 no classic when songs that got LEAKED or left Off the album were better than songs that ended up making the album. FOH.”

Tha Carter III was Weezy's sixth studio album and it was released in 2008. It debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 charts. Many of the album's tracks hit the Billboard charts, too. Plus, its release made Lil Wayne become the first artist since 50 Cent in 2005 to sell over one million copies in its very first week.

Due to these accolades, many people believe that this project was what propelled Wayne to his present superstar status. Unfortunately, Akademiks wholeheartedly disagrees.

These tweets sent Twitter into a frenzy. Read some reactions to Akademiks' words below.
