Kelis may have gone off and started a new career as a saucier, but that doesn’t mean that she’s given up music. Come April 22, Kelis will release her sixth studio album, Food, which just got some surprisingly non-food-themed cover art.
The album, which was produced by TV on the Radio’s Dave Sitek (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Santigold), will mark another sonic change for the songstress, with instrumental and orchestral production replacing the hard-hitting EDM of 2010′s Flesh Tone.
Food is actually Kelis’ second foodie album following 2003′s Tasty (which spawned the pop culture classic, “Milkshake”). Does that make Food the main course to Tasty’s dessert?
